Unless otherwise specified, all Data requested by this Application is mandatory. If the User refuses to provide requested mandatory Data, it may be impossible for Legamelt Alloys to fulfill inquiries, perform sales orders, or provide technical services.

2. Method, Place, and Security of Processing

The Data Controller takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of Personal Data.

Processing is carried out using computer and IT-enabled tools, following organizational methods and procedures strictly related to the declared operational purposes. In addition to the Data Controller, authorized personnel (administrative, sales, legal, system administrators), appointed Data Processors, and our Official Channel Partner (Shree Balvi Metals, responsible for commercial sales and billing execution) may process relevant transactional data.

Place of Processing & Commercial Fulfillment: Primary data processing occurs at the Data Controller’s operating offices in Corsico (Milan, Italy) and secure EU data centers, while billing and sales fulfillment are administered through our Official Channel Partner, Shree Balvi Metals.

Legamelt Alloys processes Personal Data under the following legal bases pursuant to Article 6 GDPR:

Processing custom alloy quotes, technical inquiries, product orders, and customer service requests.

Tax, accounting, invoicing, anti-money laundering (AML), and regulatory filings mandated by Italian & EU laws.

Legitimate Interest of the Controller

Preventing fraud, safeguarding infrastructure integrity, defending legal claims, and optimizing website security.

4. Data Retention Period

Personal Data is stored for the time strictly required to fulfill the specific purposes for which it was collected:

  • Contractual & Commercial Data: Retained for the duration of the commercial relationship and for 10 years thereafter in compliance with Italian tax and corporate law (Art. 2220 Italian Civil Code).
  • Inquiry & Communication Data: Retained for 24 months from the last contact, unless converted into an active customer account.
  • Consent-based Data: Retained until consent is explicitly revoked by the User.
